Device operation mode
Start with voltage ramp. In this mode, the starting device forms a linear stator voltage trajectory, which leads to a smooth change of starting current and starting torque values. This enables to minimize the impact of motor start-up on power network by means of decreasing current leaps and supply voltage interruption.
Start with hump current limit. This is an effective starting mode of induction motor, where the set current value in the whole speedup interval is maintained automatically, which ensures a fault-free start even in the conditions of limited network power.
Soft stop and dynamic break. The soft starter ensures breaking by voltage ramp, dynamic break – by direct current or coasting.
Inching start mode. It is designed for overcoming the initial frictional moment at starting from zero speed. The start is implemented with short (split seconds) circuit voltage supply to motor coils, following which a smooth speedup mode starts. Such mode is completely safe for power network.
Motor protection. The soft starters SSB-21 protect the motor and the mechanism from the impact of such negative effects as: over-current, extended overloads, emergency dry run, inverter overheat, as well as the issues with power supply or rotor lock.
