In fact, the scope of the application of the electric drive based on the Servo Converters XDC Series is much wider and covers the all-purpose and CNC turning machines, feed drives of circular grinding and surface grinding machines, machines for plasma and laser metal cutting, as well as the CNC gear-grinding machines. Also, our Servo Converters, or as they are called servo drives, drives of collector engines, controllers of DC motors may be used in printing equipment and other industries for the modernization of the installed equipment and the development of a new one.
Due to the Servo Drives operation without external feedback sensor (I*R compensation), it became possible to replace obsolete electric drive systems based on rotary converter (cross-field rotary converter) and magnetic converter (MA), which are still quite often found in industrial equipment and do not have an adequate replacement with new electric drive system.
Another feature of our electric drive is the possibility to work with a limited output PWM, which allows using low-voltage electric drives during the Servo Drives operation without a reducing power transformer. The transformation (reduction) of the output voltage is performed using an additional throttle mounted sequentially in the engine armature circuit that greatly reduces the cost of the installed equipment. This feature is demonstrated by the example of the modernization of the electric drive of the planning machine's table, where the DC motor for a rated voltage 60V and an armature current 330A are installed.The power is provided from the commercial power supply voltage of 380V without a transformer. This has greatly reduced the cost of the equipment modernization.
It should be noted that there is a possibility of constructing a discrete position servo drive reference Pulse/Dir, Pulse+/Pulse-(CW/CCW) or A/B (encoder). It allows build relatively inexpensive PC-based CNC systems applying popular programs, such as Mach3, EMC through budget management controllers of the stepper motors and CNC systems, such as NC-202 from Baltsistem and Sinumerik 808d from Siemens.
When modernizing installed equipment, it became possible to replace almost all types of the existing single-band transistor and the thyristor reversible and irreversible electric drives of the local and foreign manufacturers.
Оur company has developed, implemented and manufactures the thyristor rectifier control units of RC-S and RC-D models. Model RC-S is designed for control of non-reversible rectifiers with the number of thyristors up to 6. Model RC-D is designed for control of non-reversible and reversible rectifiers with the number of thyristors up to 12. The given control units allow the construction of thyristor single-phase and three-phase controlled rectifiers with such rectification circuits as the Larionov’s circuit, Gorlov’s full-wave circuit with paralleling reactor.
Also there is the possibility to perform a dual ratio control by primary coil of transformer. Such rectification circuit is applied for example in aerodrome rectifiers АВС-40 and allows achieving low ripple ratio of rectified voltage.
The thyristor rectifier control units RC-S and RC-D are also applied for modernization of rectifiers for galvanics of any types and power with nominal output voltage 6V, 12V, 24V and 48V. When using the module galvanic isolation, the building of rectifiers with the input voltage 380V is possible.
